APHC proves competence

The Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC) Certification ltd. has achieved accreditation as a Competent Persons Scheme Operator.

APHC Certification is now an installer certifying body for a range of measures under the Green Deal, having received United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) certification in order to continue providing the scheme.

Members can therefore continue to notify their work through the association, with costs covered by their yearly membership fee.

John Thompson, APHC chief executive said: “We are delighted to confirm that after several months of hard work by staff and members, APHC Certification has received UKAS approval to operate the Green Deal Installer and Competent Persons Schemes.

“This will allow us to continue to provide a comprehensive Competent Persons Scheme and enable us to offer installer certification services under the Green Deal Scheme when it is launched.”
