In the race to win and retain new customers, ADEY Professional Heating believes its latest MagnaClean Professional2 magnetic filter will speed up installation.

According to figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), there are as many as 190,000 plumbers working in the UK, 80,000 of whom are self-employed. In such a competitive market, the pressure is on for installers to win, and retain, customers.

ADEY Professional Heating Solutions has launched the MagnaClean Professional2 magnetic filter, which has been designed to help installers create the advantages they need and deliver the best possible service to their customers.

The design of Professional2 was inspired by installer feedback. In particular, the new in-line installation makes it possible to fit the filter in around a minute once the system is drained, according to the manufacturer.

A new, low profile drain valve incorporated into the base of the canister, and an improved air vent, bring further installer benefits while high performance seals minimise the risk of leaks and increase product reliability.

“As an installer, the more jobs you can complete successfully in a day with the least hassle, the more customers you can schedule,” said Chris Adey, recalling his own experience as an installer.

“It’s a simple approach, but it makes all the difference to the installer and improves the opportunity to generate income. We understand that the quality of our products has an impact on how well the day goes for the installer, which is why we listen so closely to their feedback.”

The following steps provide a simple guide to fitting the MagnaClean Professional2. ADEY’s own tests revealed an average installation time of just over a minute.

Step One – After draining the central heating system, mark and cut out a 150mm section of pipe. Remove the lower isolation valve nut and olive, and secure to the lower pipe connection

Step Three – Unscrew canister lid and remove the capture assembly. Using the MagnaClean canister as a dosing vessel add MC1 Protector to the system
