Kier and Lovell are looking to meet construction businesses from Leicestershire at an event hosted by Constructionline on Wednesday 27 March 2013 in Coalville.

The repairs and maintenance providers are looking for subcontractors, suppliers and tradespeople to help them on a four-year contract providing decent homes improvement works on almost 4,000 homes in the region.

The initial work will cover kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, brickwork, window and door replacement, loft insulation, disabled adaptations, rewiring and electricals, plumbing and heating, flooring, tiling, plastering, painting and decorating.

Claire Makin, business development manager from Constructionline, said: “It is often difficult for local contractors to have opportunities to get involved with projects of this size. For this reason, it is great to see Kier and Lovell sourcing local subcontractors to help deliver this project. Hosting events like this is one of the many added-value benefits we provide for our suppliers – we want to help them find and secure work and also make it easier for businesses to find reliable and local construction companies.”

Kier’s regional managing director Simon Bullen said: “Kier is a leading provider of maintenance across the country and we will work together with local suppliers and subcontractors to put efficiency, service improvements and customer excellence as our top priorities.”

Lovell’s regional director Tony Tann added: “Boosting local economies by working with local subcontractors and suppliers is a key part of our approach and we’re delighted that this project is creating opportunities for local individuals and businesses.”
