PHEX returns in 2013 with six free exhibitions, including four one-day events this Spring, bringing key suppliers and the latest products to new venues across the country.

The series of one-day exhibitions will be taking place during April, May and June, giving visitors the opportunity to see the latest products to reach the HVAC market, seek technical advice, and talk to manufacturers about legislation changes that directly affect their business.

HVP Group Editor Jennie Ward explained: “Energy-efficiency has taken its place at the heart of the heating industry. While the fledgling renewables market will continue to grow, it is clear that these new technologies must be installed with the needs of the whole building in mind, and not in isolation.

“Whether they’re working on a newbuild site or upgrading an existing property, installers must consider every aspect of the building to ensure the whole system works together, seamlessly, to give homeowners the best return on their investment.”

Seminars will be run during the day on a whole range of topics, chosen to help the installer make the most of current market trends.

GAS SAFE REGISTER

Gas Safe Register will again be attending all the PHEX exhibitions this year. At each event, the seminar will focus on the particular issues facing local installers in those areas, offering practical advice and guidance to register members.

DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY

With all eyes in the industry turning to the Green Deal, DECC, the government department in charge of the initiative, will be hosting a seminar to help installers understand the new scheme. The seminar will outline the potential the Green Deal has to help installers grow their business, as well as explaining the training requirements and how installers can get involved.

OFTEC

OFTEC’s seminar will examine the condition of UK rural housing stock and the current heating options for homeowners. The association plans to challenge the government’s energy strategy for this sector, offering an alternative vision of how warmer, more energy efficient and lower carbon homes can be achieved.

Technical demonstrations will also be run by manufacturers including Viessmann, JG Speedfit, Xylem Lowara and Pegler Yorkshire. More seminar partners and a full breakdown of times and topics covered will be announced in HVP’s April issue, which will focus solely on the upcoming Wembley and Doncaster exhibitions.
