Steve Ingle has been elected as national president for the Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering (CIPHE).

The CIPHE held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday 22 June at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cardiff. Ingle was elected as national president and Kevin McCallister as vice president.

Ingle is a fellow of the CIPHE and has been a member for 45 years. He has served on most of the Institute’s committees in various positions, at local, regional and national levels, as well as representing the Institute on external committees throughout his years as a member.

In his address, Ingle said: “I will try to promote the importance of good design, installation and maintenance within the plumbing, heating and associated services supported, of course by quality training. In a link with training, another exciting project I hope to undertake in my year of office is developing greater interface with the CIPHE’s Industrial Associates. We need to discuss how we can support their technical activities to benefit members across all parts of the Institute.”
