Water treatment specialist Sentinel has set up an online training academy for installers.

Launched in October to coincide with Plumb & Parts Center’s Wise Up to Water Treatment campaign, the new site provides free training and resources for installers and merchant staff. Those interested in learning more about water treatment and the role that Sentinel products play can set up an account and begin learning from two interactive training modules, covering scale and corrosion. In addition to this, there are short videos, case studies and downloadable information sheets available.

“We’re responding to requests we have had from both merchants and installers to provide easy access to the expertise we have amassed over the years," explained Daniel Cheung, UK trade marketing manager. "In the current climate, our research has suggested that installers in particular find it hard to justify giving up working time to attend a course based on a single area of their work, but that they would be interested in being able to access some easily available online information. This approach allows them to spend as much or as little time as they want refreshing their understanding of water treatment and Sentinel’s offering in terms of both information and products.

“We wanted to give our customers the resources to allow them to better understand and confidently recommend quality water treatment to their customers, and to be able to identify the right product for each job. We hope that these training modules and the additional information will enable them to do just that for their clients.”
