The European Building Automation and Controls Association 'the eu.bac' has modified its labelling design after its initial development earlier this year.

The eu.bac developed a voluntary labelling scheme in order to improve the readability and the understanding of its 2013 scheme.

eu.bac has now decided to change its design in order to avoid potential confusion between the European energy labelling sheme and the voluntary eu.bac scheme concerning products for home controls and building automation as well as building automation systems.

It now has six energy classes instead of seven, and class A+ has become AA.

The voluntary eu.bac labelling scheme was introducted to help users make informed choices when it comes to energy efficient products and systems. It relies on strong accredited third party certification testing, a symbol standing for energy efficiency and quality.
