The board of JTL has decided that over this financial year, no charge will be made to its policy of maintaining a free management service for employers taking on apprentices through the organisation.

The news comes at a time when other providers will introduce a management charge of up to £630 per annum for 16-18 year olds, and £2,250 for those aged 19 or older.

JTL has said in heating and ventilating, for every young person between the ages 16-19 recruited to a JTL apprenticeship, the company will pay a £500 recruitmant grant to the employer for training or salary costs. JTL has also teamed up with Monument Tool, promising all new plumbing, heating and ventilating apprentices will recieve a free starter tool kit worth £150.
