Shower and tapware company Deva has announced that it will change its name to Methven UK in December.

Deva was acquired by New Zealand-based Methven Group in 2007, which has been an established manufacturer and supplier of showers and tapware down under since 1886.

Newly-appointed chief executive officer for Methven UK, Steve Lee, said: "Customers can expect the same excellent service and product quality as they always have from Deva, but with renewed energy and enthusiasm and some very exciting products."

Lee has over 25 years of senior experience in the bathroom industry, including with Bristan and as president of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association.

The company name change will officially take place in the middle of December 2010.
