A series of free employer engagement seminars are being run in England and Wales this year, enabling employers to keep updated on legislative and technical matters relating to the UK plumbing industry.

Hosted by the Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC) and City & Guilds, these morning sessions will offer face-to-face contact with employers, aiming to ensure that the needs of businesses are being met and that companies continue to operate profitably.

APHC’s technical manager Graeme Dryden opens up the first session on ‘Challenging the Competence and Re-Assessment requirements in industry’. City & Guilds’ plumbing and qualifications team will then open up discussion on a range of education and training matters that affect the plumbing and heating industry, including ‘New Apprenticeships and Plumbing/Heating qualifications available for 2015’.

The spring 2015 seminars are as follows:

  • 20 April at APHC Head Office, Solihull, West Midlands
  • 22 April at Worcester Bosch training centre, Wakefield
  • 27 April at Vokèra training centre, St Albans
  • 29 April at Baxi’s Coleg Gwent training centre, Newport.

Each session will run from 08:30 to 12:00. There will be further seminars in autumn 2015.
