Berkshire plumbing firm Boiler Servicing 24-7 has announced the appointment of Garry Nation and Johnathan Blake.

Mr Blake, 23, from High Wycombe, though a newly trained plumber, is no stranger to Boiler Servicing 24-7, having received training while with the firm as a labourer.

Mr Nation, 34, from Ascot, is making a change of career and re-training, having previously been employed as a groundworker.

The company provides boiler and back boiler servicing, maintenance cover, gas fire servicing and breakdown response calls, as well as other plumbing and heating work across Berkshire, with 10 employees.

Alex Mayer, Boiler Servicing 24-7’s founder, intends to achieve growth based upon strong customer service. He is driven by the aim to make his mother, Julie, proud.

Ms Mayer died following a battle with oesophageal cancer when her son was 14. All six of the firm’s vans carry number plates featuring her initials, JJM.

Mr Mayer said: “It’s always a fantastic feeling to give employment to someone, so bringing both Garry and Johnathan into the team is brilliant. They fully embrace our company ethos of delivering excellent, timely and tidy service every time.”
