Cambridge-based energy efficiency specialist Green Heat has been officially recognised by consumer champion Which? as one if its ‘Trusted Traders’.

The company recently passed a rigorous assessment that recognises reputable and trustworthy traders, meaning Green Heat can now call itself a Which? Trusted Trader.

The endorsement can give consumers in the Cambridgeshire area confidence and peace of mind when using Green Heat, Which? says.

In order to become a Trusted Trader, Green Heat successfully passed the endorsement process, including a visit by a professional assessor with extensive trading standards experience, as well as a company credit check and random customer references.

Green Heat’s managing director, Peter Thom, said: “This recognition from an organisation whose opinions and advice is trusted by so many, is a great endorsement of our own service.

“Green Heat was specifically established 25 years ago to help more people understand energy efficiency and the benefits it brings to them, as well as future generations, in protecting our planet.

“With matching values rooted in a commitment to helping the consumer, we’ve enabled many people to make huge savings on their energy use and fuel bills, while at the same time cutting harmful carbon emissions.”

Stephen McCluskey, managing director of Which? Trusted Traders, said: “We are delighted to announce Green Heat as a Which? Trusted Trader. Our Which? Trusted Traders service gives consumers the confidence to make the right choices when it comes to finding skilled professionals and we’re pleased to be able to give traders the chance to distinguish themselves from their peers.

“This scheme is a valuable, free resource for consumers and will help banish the risk of bodge jobs.”

Which? Trusted Traders offers an additional free dispute resolution from the independent provider Ombudsman Services Ltd in the event that any issues arise between a trader and customer.
