With April 25 marking national ‘Hug a Plumber Day’ and the start of the CV Show, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will be using its presence at the show to demonstrate its appreciation.

National ‘Hug A Plumber Day’ (#NationalHugaPlumberDay) encourages everyone in the industry to recognise the ingenuity, hard work and skills of plumbers everywhere.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will be offering a warm welcome and free drink to every plumber who visits its stand in Hall 4 at the NEC in Birmingham during the CV Show (25 to 27 April), as well as the chance to enter a prize draw to drive away the new Crafter for a week.

April 25 marks the UK public debut of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ new Crafter van. As plumbers and skilled trades are among the key customer groups whose input was sought in the design of the Crafter, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is looking forward to welcoming plumbers to the stand.

Plumbers simply have to head to the Crafter2Craftsmen van on the Volkswagen stand, have their photo taken, and put their business card into the draw.

Chris Black, head of fleet at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “Plumbers work tirelessly all year round and should be appreciated for their efforts. Hug A Plumber Day is a great way to recognise this and we’re looking forward to introducing the new Crafter to such an important group of customers at the CV Show in Birmingham.”
