A company owner who deliberately resigned his Corgi registration and openly flouted the requirement to register has been fined £2,000 and ordered to pay £41,000 prosecution costs.
Crute resigned his registration in 2008, when Corgi was still the official registration body for the HSE. Gas Safe Register has since taken over the registration scheme for gas work.
