Pimlico Plumbers has picked up the pace of its £1 million expansion programme with the £200,000 transformation of a former storage floor to increase capacity at its central London headquarters.

The 2,000sqft area, which has been completely refurbished with new windows and flooring, will be used as a new office space for Pimlico Plumbers’ sales and estimates team.

There has also been work to complete a new reception area, which has doubled in size, at the front of its Lambeth-based headquarters, as well as plans to introduce an additional storey creating a further 10,000sqft of space, as part of the expansion project.

Charlie Mullins, CEO and founder of Pimlico Plumbers, said: “While there are negative voices about the state of the economy, we’re steaming ahead with our expansion to meet the demand for our services. I’m hugely proud of the creativity of our team who consistently develop new ways to maximise the space we have available at our headquarters to accommodate the people we’re hiring.

“We’re still undergoing a huge recruitment drive, which so far has been really successful, and have been holding open days as well as attending events like The Sun’s Recruitment Roadshow, to ensure we find the best recruits. We’re also heavily investing in new vehicles for our fleet to coincide with the 300 engineers we hope to have out on the road this year.”
