Anne Timpany, Director at On Tap Plumbers, was named as the winner in the Athena category (businesses 6-9 years old) at the 15th annual NatWest Everywoman Awards.

The awards are the UK’s most prestigious initiative aimed at recognising the achievements of female entrepreneurs.

Selected by a judging panel of 18 of the country’s most successful businesswomen including Chrissie Rucker MBE, Cath Kidston MBE, Rosaleen Blair CBE and Poonam Gupta OBE, this year’s finalists were chosen for the drive, ambition and tenacity they demonstrate in the face of adversity.

Upon being announced the winner, Anne, a regular columnist for HVP magazine, said: “I was completely overwhelmed when Ingrid Devin from Dell announced my name as the winner in the Athena award category. I was up against two extraordinary women and truly did not expect to win at all.

"I was genuinely thrilled to have got as far as being a finalist and just enjoyed the lovely awards lunch and ceremony. This award is a real acknowledgement for On Tap Plumbers and how far my wonderfully supportive husband Raff and I have come. We just want to continue our success and growth while appreciating every step we take."
