We explore some of the best things exhibitors have to offer at PHEX+ this month, and a selection of the opportunities you can take advantage of.

PHEX+ is fast approaching, taking place at Alexandra Palace in London on 20 and 21 June. We’ve packed more than ever into this show, which is sure to keep you busy and provide you with endless opportunities to explore new products, take advantage of exclusive offers, network with other installers and manufacturers, and discover ways to up your plumbing and heating game.

We can’t cover everything, but here’s a breakdown of some of the most exciting things happening on stands at PHEX+ this month.

New products

At this year’s PHEX+, Sentinel will be presenting its new Eliminator Vortex300 compact magnetic filter. The Eliminator Vortex300 is the company’s most compact, robust, and easy to install filter to date.

Sentinel will also be taking part in #PHEXGIVES, so installers can visit the company’s stand to find out more about the new product, and be in with a chance to win £200 in holiday vouchers.

ACV is bringing its new WaterMaster product to the show, which delivers the same domestic hot water performances and sports the same advanced technology as its predecessor, the HeatMaster. At the heart of the WaterMaster is ACV’s Tank-in-Tank technology, featuring a stainless steel DHW tank and a specially designed stainless steel heat exchanger.

Stuart Turner will be introducing the new iBoost Variable Speed and iBoost +200 Extension Tanks to its Aquaboost range of integrated iBoost systems at this year’s PHEX+ event.

The Aquaboost iBoost V200 variable speed model offers all the same capabilities as the iBoost F200 fixed speed version but with the added benefit of advanced variable speed pump control technology. For properties with a higher demand, the iBoost +200 extension tank allows the water storage capacity of an iBoost unit to double to 400l. Salamander Pumps is making a welcome return to PHEX+, and will be exhibiting its Right Pump range, the company’s new re-engineered centrifugal range of shower, bathroom and whole house pumps. Salamander will also be displaying HomeBoost, a whole-house mains water pump designed for boosting combi boiler performance.

Visitors to Salamander’s stand will have access to live demonstrations of these products and the team will be happy to answer any questions on the range of pumps available.

Global workwear brand Dickies will be at PHEX+ this month to showcase clothing essentials for plumbers, including its Pro range and recent footwear innovations, including a new trainer style for women. The Dickies Elora safety trainer has been designed specifically for ladies’ feet, with a slimmer heel and reduced forepart measure. The Elora benefits from the latest outsole designs from Dickies, as do the Phoenix and Liberty styles, which are also on display at PHEX+.

As part of the #PHEXGIVES promotion, Dickies will be giving away two VIP/Hospitality British Superbike tickets to lucky visitors. The company will also be giving away a year’s worth of workwear as part of the Ben Kinsella raffle at the show. Visit the respective stands for more information.

Fluidmaster is at PHEX+ to showcase the newest addition to its product family, the universal PRO-ULTRA Syphon, which the company calls “probably the only syphon you will ever need”. The company will be doing live demonstrations of the products on stand, with experts on hand.

C-Tec Building Solutions, suppliers of the popular CT1 adhesive, will be showcasing and demonstrating its range of products, including Multisolve, PowerGrab, Miracle Seal, Superfast, WT1, and the new PEEL TEC.

RIDGID will be at PHEX+ with its new C-Style Copper Tubing Cutters, which are designed for cutting in tight spaces, and to address the three most common copper tubing sizes with only two C-Style Cutters, eliminating one cutter from the contractor’s toolbox.

The company will also be showcasing its PowerClear Drain Cleaning Machine. The compact machine eliminates clogs from 0.75in (20 mm) to 1.5in (40 mm) in diameter, and features autofeed technology to keep users hands clean and free from touching the cable while advancing and retrieving it in the line.

Even more to see

Visitors to the Conex Bänninger stand will have their hands full. At PHEX+ this month, you’ll be able to find out about the company’s range of flame-free >B< press fittings, as well as getting the opportunity to take on darts legend Bobby George. Bobby will be on the oche between 10am and 3pm with prizes to be won by the best challengers.

Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation will be out in force at PHEX+ with its collection of brands covering a wide section of the industry. Experts will be on hand to help answer your questions, navigate the latest legislation and introduce you to an ever expanding range of Lot 20 compliant electric heating products, including Quantum high heat retention off-peak heating and the intelligent Q-Rad from Dimplex.

The company can address limescale driven performance and lifespan issues in showers with Redring’s Glow and, for the care market, the thermostatic Selectronic Premier. Glen Dimplex will also be introducing the Reditap boiling water tap. Additionally, to address issues of indoor air quality, Xpelair’s VX range of axial extractor fans and the Simply Silent DX150 Extractor Fan will be on display.

Visit the Testo stand to see the company’s full range of flue gas analysers, plus its widest ever range of HVAC instrumentation. New pricing is being announced at PHEX, to make the company’s range of high quality thermal imaging and electrical testing more affordable than ever.

Testo will also be offering visitors the chance to win a Testo smartprobe heating set, which allows heating engineers to take simple gas pressure, pipe temperature, and surface temperature of radiators and view the measurements directly on their smartphone or tablet device.

PHEX+ will see Rinnai showcase its comprehensive range of energy efficient continuous flow gas-fired hot water heating products and systems. The Rinnai range is designed to satisfy the needs of all size and types of applications – from domestic sites right through to the largest of commercial/industrial projects. Rinnai will also be taking part in the #PHEXGIVES promotion, offering visitors to the stand the chance to win a Nintendo Switch games console.

Alongside its range of push-fit fitting, pipe, and underfloor heating solutions, JG Speedfit will be promoting its ‘20 Grand in Your Hand’ campaign, which offers installers a chance to win £20,000 with the purchase of every promotional pack of 15mm equal elbows.

Installers can also win VIP British Superbike tickets for two by telling the Speedfit team what would they buy if they won £20,000. IRSAP, an Italian manufacturer of designer radiators, is attending PHEX for the very first time. With over 50 years of experience and expertise in this sector, IRSAP produces a range of designer radiator products.

The Fernox stand will exhibit its latest innovation in water treatment – the TF1 Omega Filter. The nickel-plated, brass system filter has a high capacity and compact design, which is designed to be easy to use in restricted spaces and access areas.

Additionally, the filter utilises dual action technology to remove both magnetic and non-magnetic contaminants from heating system water. Also featured on the stand will be the Filter Fluid+ Protector, which delivers system debris to a system filter while offering inhibition to prevent corrosion and scale developing.

Henkel will be at PHEX+ to showcase LOCTITE 577, which is suitable for bonding all coarse threads. It is a slow-cure product and provides a medium strength bond with chemical and thermal resistance.

LOCTITE 55 Pipe Sealing Cord will also be demonstrated. Typical applications for this pipe sealant include central heating water systems and gas pipe fittings. Compared with a hemp joint, a leak-free LOCTITE 55 seal is achieved in half the time and for less cost, the company says.

Wavin will be showcasing its range of plumbing and underfloor heating products across its Hep2O and OSMA brands. Visitors to the stand will be able to get to grips with the company’s high-performance Hep2O push-fit plumbing system and will also be able to view the new underfloor heating range.

The stand will also feature the HepvO valve, a self-sealing and waterless alternative to conventional traps. Commercial installers should also seek out the Wavin Tigris K1 press-fit system, an adaptable, multi-layer composite pipe system designed to offer quick, safe and reliable connections each and every time.

ATAG Commercial is also returning to Alexandra Palace to showcase its range of boilers, including the Q Series and XL Series.
